About me

I’m Zayden Joyner (any pronouns), a freelance artist and Junior Game Design student.  I have been creating illustrations for 3 years, and now that I’m in the process of taking the next step in my career, I hope to continue creating the art that I love while also furthering my study of video games at university.

Over the years, I’ve become somewhat of a jack-of-all-trades – I’ve acquired programming skills in C# as well as VFX and level design knowledge in Unity, graphic design skills in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Figma, illustration and 2D animation skills in Adobe Photoshop and Krita, 3D art and animation skills in Blender, and video editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro.  I also designed this website myself using WordPress!  I love learning new skills and programs, and getting the opportunity to jump into new creative challenges is my favorite aspect of University.

Video games have always been close to my heart, so when it came time to decide my major in college, I thought game design and art would be a field in which I can express myself creatively and make a difference in other peoples’ lives while also being able to enjoy my work.  I love how video games combine computer capabilities, visual arts, and sound design into a deep, complex form of art that can push both technology and imagination to their limits. My pet cats like to help me work by sitting on my keyboard, and when I’m not working or studying, I like to read novels or, to no one’s surprise, play video games.

Think you could use my skills?
